Whether you're simming short hops from the UK or exploring inter-island routes to Jersey or Alderney, Guernsey Airport provides a highly realistic and enjoyable environment for both airliner and GA operations.
Guernsey Airport (EGJB) is one of the most characterful regional airports in the British Isles — a compact, busy hub perched on the plateau of a granite island just 30 miles off the Normandy coast. It handles everything from Aurigny ATR 72s and Blue Islands jetstreams to private GA traffic and gliders, making it one of the most operationally diverse small airports in Europe. For the flight sim enthusiast, EGJB offers an exceptional mix of IFR challenge and stunning VFR scenery.
The Channel Islands sit at a unique meteorological crossroads — Atlantic weather systems, sea fog rolling in from the English Channel, and prevailing south-westerlies make for genuinely challenging approaches. Runway 27 is the main ILS runway, but Runway 09 approaches, especially in strong easterlies, demand real skill. The surrounding landscape is equally compelling: Guernsey's famous patchwork of granite-walled fields, the historic Castle Cornet in St Peter Port harbour, and the neighbouring islands of Herm, Sark, and Alderney are all visible on a clear day from the circuit. This addon recreates all of it, from the distinctive terminal architecture to the iconic Aurigny-branded hangars and the period-correct island cottages that ring the airfield boundary.
