The Isles of Scilly form an archipelago off the southwestern tip of the Cornish peninsula. St. Mary's airport is the main connection to the mainland by air, operated by Twin Otters (DHC-6), Britten Norman Islanders and various helicopters throughout the year.

Our focal point of each project is approach quality — this scenery package delivers to give you that rush as you line up for finals. The same love has been given to the helipads of lighthouses with hi-res PBR textures and a detailed mesh.

If you're island hopping, there's lots to find in between. Campsites, football fields and beaches amongst other places provide a good challenge for short landings. Round Island has to be one of the most challenging!

The Scillys is also stunning at night or dusk. We've added all the extra night lighting needed to complete the scene. The flash of a lighthouse looks awesome from 10 miles away!

The airport interior has been modelled to look and feel the same as the current layout. The furniture's the same, the clocks work and you can even zoom in on a pasty!

Why the Isles of Scilly?

There is nowhere else in British aviation quite like the Isles of Scilly. Perched 28 miles off Land's End, this remote archipelago of five inhabited islands is only accessible by sea or air — and the aircraft that serve it are some of the most interesting in the UK. St Mary's Airport (EGHE) is the world's smallest commercial airport by passenger numbers, handling scheduled Twin Otter and Islander services that have operated largely unchanged for decades. For simmers, it offers something genuinely unique: a challenging short-field approach over open Atlantic water, with virtually no margin for error on a 530m grass runway surrounded by dry-stone walls.

Beyond St Mary's, the scatter of islands offers an explorer's paradise. Tresco's abbey gardens and its private helipad. The Bishop Rock Lighthouse, the westernmost point of England. Round Island's tight, sea-battered helipad — possibly the most challenging helicopter landing in the British Isles. Wolf Rock, 8 miles offshore, with its automated light tower rising from nothing but open sea. This addon covers all of it: every island, every lighthouse, every boat on its mooring.
